The black mountain park as it is popularly known is one of the protected natural reserves in Bhutan. Exotic varieties of endangered species such as musk deer, goat antelopes, red pandas, fierce wild boars, golden langurs and tigers are found in the park.
The pride of the park are Clouded leopards one of the most ferocious but magnificent wild cats. They are known for their extraordinary ability to hunt their prey. The park is also home to over 39 mammals, 270 species of birds and 139 species of butterflies.
The park annually organizes a 5-day trek through the Adha and Rukha villages to explore the rich biodiversity of the park.
